Midweek Action

For my three teams, and with the English and German leagues in general, this is a busy week for football action. Besides their normal weekend fixtures, Oxford has a Tuesday league match, Nurnberg has a Pokal tournament match on Wednesday, and Newcastle plays Wednesday as well in a Carling Cup match. Luckily, I think all of them should win as they face easy opponents…but my fingers are still crossed. Oxford United are playing the worst team in League Two with Plymouth Argyle, so that gives them a good chance to bounce back from the tough weekend loss. Newcastle is also playing the worst team in their league with Blackburn Rovers so they should be able to progress through the Carling Cup. Nurnberg is playing Erzgebirge Aue in their Pokal match. Erzgebirge Aue is actually in the second division of the Budesliga and is sitting in the bottom half of the table there. Der Club better win.
